How does payment work, and how much do I pay upfront?
Your booking is confirmed once we receive your down payment. The down payment is flexible, with a minimum of 15% of the total, and it is what locks in your car and your boat for that date. The balance is settled on the day, at pickup. Payment is by bank transfer to the official CV Lombok Travelution company account, and we send you those details when we confirm your booking. Please never transfer to a personal account.
Is Lombok Travelution a legally registered company?
Yes. We operate as CV Lombok Travelution, a registered Indonesian company, and we are members of AITTA and ASTINDO. Our team has been running tours in Lombok since 2012. Our products are also listed on GetYourGuide, Klook and TripAdvisor.
What happens if I need to cancel or move my dates?
Rescheduling is free, at any time, with no deadline and no limit on how many times. Your down payment moves to the new date, subject to car and boat availability. If the price is higher on the new date you cover the difference, which is a seasonal price difference rather than a reschedule fee. For cancellations, refunds are calculated from what you have actually paid: 100% if you cancel 30 days or more before the tour, 60% between 29 and 17 days, 20% between 16 and 10 days, and no refund from 9 days before the tour onwards.
Is this a private tour, or will we share the boat with strangers?
The car and the boat are chartered for your group alone. You will never be joined with other guests, and the pace of the day follows you rather than a fixed group timetable.
Why is the price per person so different between group sizes?
Because the car and the boat cost the same whether two people travel or ten, so the cost divides further across a larger group. Ten people pay IDR 375,000 each; two people pay IDR 2,000,000 for the pair, which works out at IDR 1,000,000 each. Every step in between is shown in the table above, with nothing hidden. If you are two and the figure feels steep, tell us your dates anyway. Sometimes another small group is running the same route and we can put you in touch.
Is the sand really pink, or is that just the photos?
It is a soft blush rather than the neon magenta you see in filtered videos, and it shows most clearly along the waterline around midday. We would rather you know that before you come than feel short-changed when you arrive. Do I need to swim, and is the day suitable for children or older travellers?
You do not need to swim. Snorkelling is optional, life jackets are on the boat, and plenty of guests spend that hour on deck instead. The boat ride is the part to think about for very young children or anyone prone to seasickness, since it is open water for part of the way. Tell us who is travelling and we will be straight with you about whether the day suits them.
